Chicago Cubs

The Chicago Cubs are one baseball’s most recognizable franchises. The club was a founding member of the National League, established in 1870 as the Chicago White Stockings. They became the Cubs in 1903 and have played their home games at Wrigley Field, the second-oldest park in baseball, since 1914. The legendary Cubs shortstop Ernie Banks hit 512 home runs in his Hall of Fame career. The 2016 Cubs are led by Jake Arrieta, winner of the 2015 NL Cy Young Award, as well as the sluggers Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo.
