Chicago Cubs catcher Gabby Hartnett (1900 - 1972) (center) argues with Umpire Dolly Stark (in black) during the sixth inning of the fourth game of the World Series, Chicago, Illinois, October 5, 1935. Also present are fellow Cubs, Tex Carleton (1906 - 1977) (obscured behind Stark), Charlie Grimm (1898 - 1983) (#8), and Phil Cavarretta (#43). The Cubs lost the game, 2 - 1, and the series, 4- 2, to the Detroit Tigers. (Photo by FPG/Getty Images)
